buildings to rise and nestle beneath again
sever our links when our threshold of grief is strained
when we dreamed of thieves and their den
covered laments with streets and cement
then the cracks show, through it’s features ascend
the depths of this world and the creatures within
little people scurry legs
along these sidewalks, and below the buried ways
paths of memories that surface and fade
as we’ve shed bones and re birthed of this clay
