this song was recorded as a joke to have a little fun with the whole southern rock/metal thing that was going on. we’d jam that riff for fun at practice and jake always sang beautifully along with us. jake wrote some really inspiring lyrics and we tracked this little number in about 5 seconds. i still think this song is jake’s best performance on record. don’t ask us to play this live because we simply will not. you love it. – j.
