the flower bloomed in a way that slowly became invasive to the nature around it
smothering the grass+ leaves with its veins we call roots
it undeniably needed a trim
so we could see the other beautiful flowers in this wretched terrain
but the gardener was blinded by the luminescence of the flower
and let it glow beyond his hydrated eyes
the light went through every part of his body
covering every nerve
“seeing the light” is typically known as great, and it was
but the heat of the light slowly burned the gardener
he covered his eyes in distraught
after being hypnotized by the flowers light
a realization occurred in his mind that he had let this ‘shine’ blind him from his other beloved flowers
he reluctantly grabbed his shears
and he cut everything away
