isor one - thankful lyrics

Loading...

down in the deep depths of the forestation i hasten my pace and make my way through thick brush
it must be about 5pm judged by the sun in the sky, which i can barely see through the superfluous vines that climb seemingly high enough to extend their reach and breach the sky
searching for something that seemingly doesn’t exist
in this jungle, i stumble and look for a path that will take me away from this need for survival
to thrive i’ll have to find a civilization
placed in this situation it seems i have no choice but to keep on moving forward toward this vast oblivion of green
my heart stops, a cobra creeps from a dark spot, another one falls from a nearby vine
my vision goes black, i think i’m dying
i’m traveling now through a tunnеl of light
my sight has become a three hundred and sixty dеgree view
and a review of my whole life plays in the blink of an eye
lash out in pain, returning to a body stained with blood or so i thought at first but then realized it’s only clay and mud
regaining consciousness, i come to my senses, awaken to the sound of running water
and behold the most amazing view, a river trickling down towards a town in the distance
i make my way through the valley and carry on with persistence
having escaped the cobra’s clutch, i’m much appreciative and thankful
so as i approach this promised land, whatever happens, i’ll have learned to be grateful
