it’s unused. like a rolex that has a battery, keeps the time, yet in a box, awaiting a buyer to wear it. the battery is running, the time is being kept, but it has not fulfilled it’s purpose which is to tell the time to the wearer, because the wearer isn’t wearing it
so it counts every second
