a: tyler bach (born july 2nd, 2001) known by his stage name, mai ty, is an american musician/vocalist from quakertown, pennsylvania. mai ty makes hip+hop and r&b. mai ty is known for his break+thru track titled “mai ty + options (feat.bigbabygucci)
q: when did you begin making music or getting into?
a: i began making music officially in 2021
q: how did you get your artist name?
a: my mom actually came up with the name for me! we were discussing possible names and she said “mai ty” and i ran with it ever since
q: what are your goals in music, what do you think you’ll be able to achieve?
a: my ultimate goal in music is to inspire and influence others to be creative and to follow their dreams
q: who are some artist’s that inspire your sound and do you think where you live/grew up influenced your sound?
a: post malone is a heavy influence to my sound. he’s one of the reasons i wanted to start making music
q: music’s diversity in sound has expanded so much more recently, what makes you different?
a: i think what ultimately makes me different is that i’m not afraid to experiment with my sound. i’ve tried various vocal techniques on different tracks
q: who are your dream features?
a: i recently connected with drippin so pretty on instagram so that’s definitely one of them! and besides that, i’d love to work with lil tracy and/or lil xan
q: what is one thing you love about making music and what is one thing you hate?
a: the biggest thing i love about making music is connecting with the fans. their support means the world to me! one thing i hate is dealing with haters/tire kickers
