paul - an exclusive interview with majeeed lyrics
what got you into music?
my interest in the music creation process is what initially got me into music. i think it’s a beautiful and peaceful process
who inspired you to make music?
the afrobeat king wizkid inspired me to start making music, but i stayed for the beauty of the craft and my love for it that came after.
how would you describe the music that you typically create?
i sincerely do not like to box my craft. i like to be very versatile in different areas of music and i’m always trying out new sounds. for right now, i’ll say afro fusion or afro pop
what is your creative procеss like?
i make my music based on rеality and i try my best to tell relatable stories that touch different areas of life. while creating my music i always let the beat speak to me before i respond. my connection to sounds i listen to while creating music is divine.
that’s something i’m thankful for
who would you most like to collaborate with and why?
i’d love to collaborate with every dope creative out there at one point in my career, but for now i’d love to make music with justin bieber, rihanna, drake, harry styles, wizkid, and burnaboy. all these artists are exceptional when it comes to craftsmanship, and i’d love to collaborate with them.
is there a hidden meaning in any of your music?
my music is as real as it can get, and some songs are very personal. when you listen to my ep titled ‘bittersweet’ you’ll understand how personal my music is
what advice would you give to aspiring musicians who are just starting out in the industry?
there are a few things i would want an aspiring artist to know:
1. develop the passion for the craft
2. don’t compare your journey to someone who started 5 years before you.
3. enjoy the process
4. do not envy other creatives
5. do not hate on another creative
6. be kind and always show love
how do you see your music evolving in the future, and are there any new genres or styles you’re interested in exploring?
i’m that type of craftsman that is always exploring ways to change my sound, even when the world hasn’t evolved to a certain type of sound yet. i always want to be a few steps ahead
how would you describe your music style and sound to someone who hasn’t heard it before?
i make afro fusion and afro pop. the type of music that makes you feel emotions and also want to dance
