i am paul
a slave owned by jesus christ
an apostle who’s set aside
to proclaim the good news that was promised long ago
concerning him: god’s son who came down to earth
to be born and to give new birth
from whom we have received
the grace to make him known

so i write this to the saints who are in rome

i thank my god, for your faith is in plain view
and never ceasing to pray for you
o how i long to return and strengthen you at home
but i’ve been delayed
in order that i may reap of the harvest that includes
greeks, barbarians, the foolish, the wise
