the one was a song that was a really defining moment for this record. before, i had no clue what i wanted to call the album, and it definitely felt unfinished. and, i went through all of the songs and the lyrics, and one phrase that kind of came up multiple times was, “the one”. and i was like, “you know, that would be a really cool song.” so, i was in chemistry class, and, i kind of just wrote down a few ideas i had. and, i definitely wrote it from a satire perspective, you know it’s kind of just like, being crazy, like, “i will not lеt you leave.” and, obviously, that’s now how i am, but, it was a song that was definitеly pivotal in the process of the album and, it’s a song i’m really proud of
