young simba (henok woldemichael) - the non existent race lyrics

Loading...

i am writing a poem. an expression of my emotions. which lately have been like a roller coaster following newtons law of motion. what goes up must come down. but in my case reality is my gravity. no matter how happy i fell i remember that it is only temporary. and life has been going by so fast. at this rate i guess i better start preparing my obituary. you know they say life goes on. since i was a kid i was sure i would rule the world. but now im beginning to realize that i will never be king, i am forever a p-wn. living in a world ruled by hate, doubt, revenge, and jealousy. this world got me feeling like a black eyed pea, wondering where has the love gone. wait. hold up just a minute. was there ever even love to begin with. were we ever united. haven’t we always been divided. since the time the earth broke up into seven peace’s. even now the separation increases. aren’t we all part of the human race. why don’t we slow down and go at an even peace

hook:love where is it ? happiness aha ain’t that some bullsh-t. race its non existent

there is no first and last place. why can’t we all just be equal.did we forget that we are all just people. the exact same on the inside. why can’t we all just get rid of our pride. now don’t get me wrong im proud to be and ethiopian. oh wait im also an eritirean. and pretty soon im gonna be a canadian. why can’t i just be a human

hook: love where is it ? happiness aha ain’t that some bullsh-t. race its non existent

wouldn’t it be better if we were all just clones. who wrote poems. we would understand one another so much better. forget the fact that i called this a poem. it is now a letter, to the whole world. we all need to start giving power to the word. because i don’t know what to believe any more. aye, and how about justice be served before court is adjourned.nowadays even the heroes, are villains. our protectors the police officers be k!lling innocent civilians. remember mike brown, or how about 12 year old tamir rice. just thinkin of this stuff brings tears tomy eyes. akai gurley, ezell ford, amadou diallo. just to name a few. or how about poor derek williams from milwaukee. he suffocated in the back of police car, while they just ignored him and drank their free coffee. heres a plot twist on this story. the three officers got away free even after standing in front of the jury. i guess coffee isn’t the only thing officers get away with without being charged. there is no justice system for people like us

hook: love where is it ? happiness aha ain’t that some bullsh-t. race it’s non existent

there are so many issues with the world which i could discuss. but this poem was supposed to be personal. oh thank goodness god is so merciful. it is because of him i am so versatile. ain’t it his world. wasn’t it made by his word. if that’s the case ima stop right here, cuz all i can do is say a prayer. since that’s the case ima leave it to god. i just hope it ends well so that i can stand up nd applaud

hook: love where is it ? happiness aha ain’t that some bullsh-t. race it’s non existent
