21 pence – speak up lyrics

Loading...

[intro]
black people have been seen as thugs more than white people
they don’t deserve the hate they get

[verse one]
yo, i’m here to support the poc
they deserve rights as well as anybody
don’t ya agree?
skin colour is what you’re born with, so if you’re born with black skin, it doesn’t mean that you’re a bad person
there’s evil and good and there’s evil and good of everybody
one can be evil and one can be good
police brutality is not a good thing at all
any cop who abuses his power to attack a race, gender or s+xual orientation should never work in the force again, but i ain’t calling all cops bad people
i’m calling the ones who practice the police brutality are bad

[chorus]
together we can fight for what matters, that means black lives, white lives and any lives out there, all lives matter
together, we can speak up

[verse two]
21 pence here to express my feelings towards the black community
i think there’s good black people but there also can be bad and they ruin the rest
there’s no need for violence during a black lives matter protest
from the heart, i am supporting the black community, you see, black people need the support, the rights because they’re humans same us, we must get together and fight for the rights for those who are black, i ain’t black though but i’m fighting for their rights to be themselves

[chorus]
together we can fight for what matters, that means black lives, white lives and any lives out there, all lives matter
together, we can speak up
[verse three]
fighting for what is right but don’t fight with weapons and fists, just fight with words towards those who attack innocent black people
i think protesting is a good way to express what you wanna say
it sometimes resolves the issues but violence ain’t the answer so don’t use violence to protest, use words and banners, flyers and also signs to get out what you’re saying
flags too, wave it to show some words, even if you’re not speaking any out

[chorus 4x]
together we can fight for what matters, that means black lives, white lives and any lives out there, all lives matter
together, we can speak up

[outro]
yo, if you’re black and listening to this, i’m supporting you along the way, speak up and express… fight for what is right
