but there’s a lotta volatility with ipos
as the price they’re issued at is often way too low
and thus into another type of market it goes
a lot of people don’t have access to these
so they instead rely on a market secondary
it can be nasdaq or n+y+s+e
where buying these stocks has an ex+chura fee
these types of markets leave their issuer out
they don’t get the money, they are only getting clout
and the prices start to change to another amount
determined by the views on the company’s route

with a price not set so there’s bidding often
sellers want high bids for their stocks and
buyers want in at the cheapest option
these auctioneers will find a match
when an offer and an bid are the same at that
which allows these buyers and sellers to transact
so they get a commission for providing that
for dealer markets, there’s an bid+ask spread
so if you wanna get a stock, dealers buy it ahead
they’ll sell to you, and upcharge a couple cents
so they can make a profit and stay out the red
dealers and brokers are not the same
as dealers are fine to leave you outta the frame
and find somebody else to make a good trade
but a broker has clients and works for their gain
people pay brokers to buy and sell for them
they know the system and can get a fortune
they don’t do it free, they charge a fee of course and
their market knowledge gives value enormous
