these are the first words on the tape. to me, an intro is more than just a cool song. it’s an… intro. whether it be introducing a book, a person, a story, anything. the intro lays the foundation of the rest of the message
that’s what i wanted to do here, set the foundation. first thing people ask you as a rapper is ‘where you from/rep?’ i’m from a couple places. born in harlem and raised for a little before i moved to central florida, kissimmee to be exact, bvl to be more exact(by orlando, for context). i no longer feel the need to ‘chose one place to rep’. all of it has made me who i am, and being back in harlem, the same area i was born and originally raised, it’s important for me to wear all hats
my verse goes into more detail into who i am, automatically i wanted to set the tone for the first time listeners so they can know the man behind the music
