begins to rant with

excruciatingly grave
the machine to our right
conjured them all
that’s when they seemed to come
right out of the f-cking walls
swirling around the terrified servants who
were all screaming
inevitably leading to their dooms
the phantom ent-ties
honed in upon their shrieks
fell upon them
and never again were they seen
the gleam
in the scientist’s eye
was near transparent
due to the beasts
whose grisly stare
now fell in between
myself and the lunatic
who laughs now
and extends his arm
pointing it in my direction
inward the phantasms swarm
they maul the man
sitting opposite me
and i freeze with shock
only after i pull my revolver
and let ring a shot
the shot, a clang, i faint
and wake to find my
counterpart dead
