c-mob: yo, this is a public service announcement. me and tj are from marion, indiana, and you know it may be like this in a lot of other cities too but, nothing’s gonna change for the better in this city until we get up and change it. like i know we’re all tired of this bullsh-t, good paying jobs are scarce, the city’s f-cking trashy and gloomy, and it’s seems like there’s no opportunity and there’s not really sh-t to do here. you know i know we all need to vent sometimes but like really what good is gonna come from just f-cking complaining all the time and not doing sh-t? you know what i’m saying? we need to come together and organize, whether we’re organizing to clean up all this trash or cut this uncut gr-ss, or try to fix up all these f-cking houses that are falling apart and sh-t. you know we need to be like organizing for the kids in the community, you know we need to do cookouts, basketball tournaments, buying out movie theaters so the kids can watch a free movie, there’s all types of sh-t we can do. you know what i’m saying? we can really change the atmosphere around here if he start collectively putting out positive energy and actually taking action to go along with it. you know if we see a video online of the police beating the sh-t out of somebody, we need to organize and show up to city hall and let these motherf-ckers know that sh-t’s not gonna fly. you know what i’m saying? if you see some kids fighting in the street, don’t f-cking pull your phone out and record it. don’t call the police. go over and break that sh-t up and talk to the kids and try to teach them a better way to deal with their issue. we gotta be leaders. and one more thing, and i know this sh-t sound lame to some of y’all, but we gotta start running for local office. we can’t let people who don’t give a f-ck about the community run our f-cking community. you know what i’m saying? they’re not tryna make progress, they’re just tryna line their pockets. these local office positions, they’re not just reserved for old people and rich people and f-cking old rich white people and sh-t like that like we need more young people with fresh ideas and bright minds running for local office. people who wanna see the whole community come up. people who are gonna bust their -ss to try to bring jobs here. cause a lot of these motherf-ckers been tryna keep the jobs away, so the poverty level stays high, and the property value can go down, so then all their rich buddies can buy out the city and gentrify the neighborhood. you know what i’m saying? like come on i know y’all don’t trust the system but when it’s time to vote to we need to go out and vote in these local elections cause this sh-t does matter. you know what i’m saying? we could take this motherf-cker over and make it better, we just gotta come together. so stop focusing on the sh-t you can’t do and start focusing on the sh-t you can do
