hold my heart
is the first (never intended) solo album of debby sita
and at the same time, it is her last musical gift to us
after beating cancer first time in 2012
she again received the news of having cancer in summer 2018
throughout the following year
she bravely fought the cruel sickness
going through chemo and the radiation therapy
surgeries and other medical treatments
she never lost faith in jesus to be her saviour
who is mighty to heal
however, on may 27 2019, at the age of 35
my beloved wife passed away and left me
our 3+year+old son judah, and many friends behind
although, we all know that someday
we will meet her again in eternity
the pain and tragedy was almost unbearable
during her last year here on earth
which was filled with a lot of pain
she often wrestled with jesus
prayed and poured her heart out to him
throughout these moments
she held on in faith and always knew
that he would never leave her side
she wrote these songs under the worst possible circumstances
facing a dreadful sickness, awful pain, and imminent death
she wrote them in her sickbed
recording the songs on her mobile phone
not knowing that her musical prayers
one day would make it onto an album
these songs are a wonderful memory of a beautiful
and strong woman who dedicated her life to worship jesus
she was and still is
an admirable role model of how to love jesus into eternity
and we are grateful for her inspiring legacy
and these beautiful and honest songs she left us
knowing the backstory to this album
the songs become an amazing encouragement
for us to hand our lives over to jesus
in literally all situations of life and focus our eyes on him
because jesus then said, “i am the one who raises the dead to life
everyone who has faith in me will live, even if they die”

so it’s our heart’s desire, and we know it will be debby’s too
that you would come to know jesus as your lord and saviour
for he is the one who promises eternal life
and heals the broken+hearted
