our brethren are torn apart
by religion’s enslaving art
worshippers are captivated by various divinities
while developing scarily different affinities
they are unable to justify their belief
yet they are willing to k!ll anyone who gives them grief
man’s interpretation of religion is continually changing
but the violence never stops exchanging
is marriage strictly limited to a man and woman?
or would same-s-x marriage be considered an omen?
is it wrong for a level-headed woman to become a priest
when many clergymen fail to contain their inner-beast?
why should pre-marital s-x be considered wrong
if by nature, humans procreate to move along?
why do we need religion
when there is an answer that needs no revision?
science is the answer to all of our questions
and takes us, mankind, in one necessary direction
science leads us to overall development
a part of our future that is undoubtedly prevalent
rather than argue over incessant, frivolous subjects
we can attach ourselves to a belief that earns many respects
science starts as a rational inquiry
that later materializes into an academic theory
a theory is repeatedly examined and tested
while its results may never be fully vested
scientists know their work might not be true
but that does not leave them feeling too blue
scientific theories have intellectual mobility
while religion is rooted in only bigotry

atheist. why waste energy making science a religion
when mankind can still progress without this b-n-l superst-tion?
religion is baseless and causes vicious disputes
while science is pragmatic, but difficult to refute

turning unbiased work into personal fallacies
they refuse to think their research could be wrong
because they believe the science hall of fame is where they belong

priest. how can you only say that religion causes disputes
when in many cases, it is the glue that unifies diverse groups?
why do you think north american missionary efforts were so successful?
because indigenous populations flocked to christianity’s promising potential
christianity forms the basis for a civilized society
without divine laws, there would be no propriety
religion has been cemented into our brains since our tender years
and now it is a part of our genetic gears
if something were to take our religion away
then our well-beings would immediately decay
religion is unarguably needed
we require it to keep our values deep-seated
the only solution to cease religious controversy
is for everyone to convert to the religion with the greatest popularity
if we all choose one religion to practice
we will all attain the same moral status
christianity is the religion that offers the most

this religion promotes morality
while others are unable to grasp reality
same-s-x marriage is unnatural
two men can’t produce a child—that is factual
pre-marital s-x renders no self-respect
it will leave the two lovers in an expressive disconnect
women are far too emotional to be as effective as the clergy
do they even capable of performing the liturgy?
religion sets moral standards
no other practices will have as much candor
christianity has universal appeal
while others only provide an ethnic zeal
judaism’s allure is most limited to jerusalem
with only 14 million worshippers on a whim
in christianity, you can feast on cattle and swine!
in hinduism and islam, you are prohibited from this delectable dine
christianity is most comprehensive religion
with this set of beliefs, there can be no division

kristen. don’t muslims, christians, and jews
believe in the same god as me and you?
we are not as different as some make it seem
because in reality, we have the same dream
each faith seeks the greater good of humanity
but all that we see in the news is religious calamity
forcing people to follow one religion is purely impractical
all i see resulting is a vehement debacle
we can’t just tell each other what to believe
because these practices have been p-ssed down for centuries
we seek to uphold our ancestor’s legacy
religion is becoming part of our pedigree
all beliefs have something worthwhile to share
we must recognize these good notions and promote them everywhere
rather than fight over conflicts of the past
we should set aside our differences create a love that will last
making amends tactfully in my proposal
because step by step, peace will become global

is what instruments and tactics they used to survive
what did they use to make weapons?
which predators made them feel threatened?
how did their genes differ from then to today?
these questions could fill an entire dossier!
our forefathers’ religious needs are useful for cognitive research
but other than that, they don’t have much worth
we need science to comprehend the present
and to reach conclusions on evolutional arguments

priest. as humans, we have the same descendants
our origins are from celestial transcendence
we have one origin, but many theories
how do we go about these inquiries?
religion is shaped by what our ancestors did and believed
if there was no adam, how could there be eve?
the garden of eden shows that adam was first and dominant
and eve was meek and not particularly cognizant
eve was deceived by yahweh’s tricks and bit the apple
leaving adam as a scapegoat with a tricky situation to grapple
can’t we agree those descriptions hold true for genders today
that all women are weak and men always save the day?

atheist. how can you be sure
that adam and eve are our ancestors when their origins are so obscure?
how do we know if they actually existed?
that answer might end religious violence that has persisted
who is god and is he the almighty being?
if you cannot provide a rational answer, there is no point in agreeing

freudian. we will never fully know if they were real
unless we uncover their remains, that would be ideal
however, that expedition would last an eternity
because their existence is an absurdity
adam and eve cannot be made out of dust!

atheist. if that is fact, and not a mere theory
i would believe it because it is plausible and cheery!

i blame the priest and other extremists for all religious strife
their unwavering beliefs have cost many their own life
religion has started the bloodiest battles in the first place
people should stop practicing and start to efface

kristen. religion should not be erased from our memories
instead, we should exercise the peace-promoting values it carries
all good comes from diplomacy
it encourages friendship globally
we can coexist peacefully in a world full of differences
as long as we stay mindful and don’t make rash inferences
in their purest form, religious ideals overcome vanity
and promote the greater good of humanity
