so it’s like, people get a chance to understand you more? kind of see something that you couldn’t really put into just regular words?

to understand, but also to relate to, i think, more than anything

well ’cause when we do it, we’re trying to figure out how, best to capture a feeling, you know? so if we’re making a track, the thought is, you know, there’s, there’s something that everyone is going through or that they relate to, and if you can put it into something and make them go “oh i had never thought of that before but that makes total sense, or–”

–or “that’s exactly what i was feeling but i didn’t know how to put it until i heard them say it on this track.”

and there’s just things like, i mean, everybody has those songs that you hear that you’re just like “oh my god… like–”

“that’s it.”

like “that song is me.” you know what i’m saying? i hear that…

the whole “that’s it” moment, yeah. that’s pretty much what it is

[oliver]

and it’s just, you know, and you can go through something and just feel super alone or super whatever, and then you hear something and you’re like “somebody out there feels the exact same way i feel about something.”
