filled with fearmongering features passed down
from one recipient to the next each in a desperate
attempt to cure themself of the disease even more
contagious than the viral infection that is physically
here

i’m not talking about corona, folks

i’m talking about fear

you can’t process so you’ve got these processes
and now your bible’s been opened more than ever
and its not making sense and you’re confused
cause you don’t even know what plans god had or
has for you
and fear makes you act
pray and
post a verse everyday so you’ve got something to
say if god comes today
but that’s missing the point
maybe you wish when you had the chance you
went to church
and heard the word
maybe right now you’re remembering every little
sin
every quiet curse
but right now all the devil wants you to think is that
you will be saved by your works

in paraphrase
john 3:16 whosoever believes in the death
and resurrection of the son of god shall not perish
but have eternal life
sounds like a tempting bargain right ?

well
in 1 john 1:9 it says that if we confess our sins then
god is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us
of all unrighteousness

but it’s not just about saying sorry because you’re
scared of the end
it’s about saying sorry because you realise how
much you’ll need god as your friend
now and forever
and you truly want to change, whether the end is
in your lifetime or never
romans 3:23 says for we have all sinned and fallen
short of the glory of god

so stop trying to be perfect
in that flesh, you’ll never succeed

some part of you knows that
god knows that

but everytime you sin you probably feel like mann
this is why i ain’t seeing heaven
look, you will never do enough good to take you to
heaven
it’s not a points system

you are saved when you believe in christ

when you believe in christ he begins to work in you
that you may save your brethren

and that’s the real work you’re after

because the only way we really get through this
is if we help each other

so
just because you didn’t post a bible verse on your
status in the morning like everybody else doesn’t
mean that they’re better than you

but it also doesn’t mean that you should condemn
them if they do

you see, you only do these sorts of things when
you’re moved

your love for god should prompt your actions
cause
god doesn’t judge you by how many times you said
his name in a caption

and god can notice

proverbs 16:2 says people may be pure in their own
eyes but god examines their motives

it’s all about faith but it’s not really true faith if it
doesn’t make you ++ change. right?

because especially when making christian claims
everybody will expect to see love, joy, peace
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness
gentleness and self control brooding off you

so step 1. pray
repent and turn from your ways
ask for the love and the faith

step 2. meditate
think about it and let yourself come to terms
with the world around you
what i did is i asked for help, you’re allowed to too

step 3. read the bible so you know what’s expected
instead of taking instructions from a chain
message

step 4. know god is in control
have no fear
coronavirus has plagued the world but god
made the world
and he has promised to be with us
until the end. and it isn’t the end just yet

step 5. know you are forgiven, you are loved
rest in the love of god and submit to him who can
work in you and me

and that’s the truth that will set you free
