when you could’ve done something last year for it to be stress free
think of how many lives it would’ve saved
if you had just seen well deserved pay checks raised
even now they’re struggling to get praise
working twice as hard but still not even getting what they need to get by
and it’s us in which they rely
i just don’t understand why we don’t give them a hand
finally you are helping them to expand
but only because the increase in demand is affecting your bands
i can see how this destroyed all of your plans
but why does this mean so many people have to suffer
seeing pictures of the overworked couldn’t have looked rougher
and you still haven’t given them time ti recover
by the next day there goes several others
with our thoughts being with the people above us
yet you can’t tell who’s in danger among us
one of the most difficult times, we still see salary cuts
do they care about people struggling with cash?
only about those holding a stack, only to get more stacked
seeing all my mates getting sacked without a contract
it just shows that the employed aren’t backed
they’re only solution is to have everybody trapped
it may help the subject at hand
but is it really making us better? i don’t think you understand
how come we can’t even give our own citizens a hand?
because at the end of the day, whatever you say, you will still get paid
and all you can offer is our payments to get delayed
it’s like you’re playing us like an arcade
i can tell you that it’s grown old
just like you told us to treat like gold
using us as test subjects, leaving us exposed
refusing to close
realising and then quickly making a change
showing us that you’re full of false claims
but it does now help it to contain … and for that
i can take some of it back
as i can see how hard you’re working to get us back on track
suspending your main plans to restore health and advance
taking a hit to your finance to give us a chance
clearly you see we need to beat the next stage
and this call…. it had to be installed
the only real worry is what the businesses can afford
finding alternate ways and immunity are only two ways we have to work towards
and up to this point, most of us have ignored
and that’s why we all need to pull forward
taking responsibility and realise the severity of the situation
everyone’s small steps will replenish the nation
